Payment information (processed by Apple)

Local Network Scanning
The App accesses your local network to:
Discover devices connected to your LAN
Retrieve IP addresses, MAC addresses, and device information
Detect open ports and running services
Important: All scanning happens locally on your device. Network information is NOT uploaded, stored on servers, or shared with third parties.
Device Information
The App may access standard device information for proper functionality:
Device model and operating system version
Network connectivity status
App usage for crash reporting (if enabled)
Third-Party Services
Advertising (iOS Only)
The iOS version of the app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
Device advertising identifiers (IDFA)
IP address
Device information
App usage data
You can control ad tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
Note: The macOS version does NOT display ads if you purchase the "Remove Ads" feature.
Analytics
We do not use any analytics services. The app does not track user behavior or collect usage statistics.
How We Use Information
Information accessed by the App is used solely for:
Network Scanning: Discovering and displaying devices on your local network
Device Identification: Identifying device types and manufacturers
Service Discovery: Detecting available network services
All processing happens locally on your device. We do not:
Store your data on remote servers
Share your data with third parties
Use your data for marketing purposes
Track your location
Data Storage
Local Storage Only
All scanned network information is processed in real-time and stored only in device memory
No data is saved to persistent storage
Data is cleared when you close the app
No cloud storage or backup is used
In-App Purchases (macOS Only)
Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple
We do not have access to your payment information
Purchase records are stored by Apple, not by us
We only verify purchase status through StoreKit
Data Sharing
We do NOT:
Sell your data to third parties
Share your data with advertisers (except AdMob on iOS)
Transfer data outside your device
Use data for profiling or targeting
The only data sharing occurs through:
Google AdMob (iOS only) - for displaying advertisements
Apple StoreKit (macOS only) - for processing in-app purchases
Your Rights and Choices
Network Access
You can revoke local network access at any time through device settings
The app will not function without network access, as it's essential for core functionality
Ad Tracking (iOS Only)
You can disable ad tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
You can reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising
Remove Ads (macOS Only)
Purchase "Remove Ads" or "Pro Version" to completely remove all advertisements
This is a one-time purchase that removes all ad tracking
Children's Privacy
LAN Detective does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. No personal information is collected from users of any age.
Security
We implement security measures to protect information processed by the App:
All network scanning happens locally on your device
No data transmission to external servers
No user accounts or passwords to secure
Uses Apple's secure StoreKit for purchases (macOS only)

Updating the "Last Updated" date
Displaying an in-app notification (for significant changes)
